You can make a juicy and flavorful Instant Pot steak using your Instant Pot in a fraction of time. This recipe delivers restaurant-quality beef with minimal effort.

When I turn on my Instant pot, I feel like a child in a candy shop. Or like a child with a brand new toy at Christmas. I am a kid in essence! I am just inquisitive. Can I cook THIS in THAT? "What would I get if I added these?"

So many questions! The first question that came to my mind was "Can you cook steak with it? ?"

Yes, it is possible!

This recipe will help you get the perfect steak every time without having to scrub the grill or guess on the stove.

Is Instant Pot Steak Healthy?

This Instant Pot Steak recipe is low-carb, gluten-free and sugar-free. Steaks are a great source of protein which is important for a healthy lifestyle. Iron and zinc are also essential vitamins and nutrients. It is made with extra virgin olive oil, which is a healthy fat. Garlic and paprika, both rich in antioxidants, are also used. Instant Pots allow you to cook steaks without adding a lot of fat. The steak retains its nutritional value unlike pan-searing or grilling which can cook the minerals and vitamins out of the steak through evaporation.

There are only a few ingredients so you can start cooking (and eating!) sooner. will start sooner.

  • 1 sirloin, 2 inch thick
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper pinch
  • Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp

How long to cook your steak

Take the thought out of it (because who enjoys thinking?) Here's a chart that shows how long to cook your Instant Pot once you have seared it. The table assumes that the steak is 2 inches thick and boneless. If you are cooking a steak with a bone, allow for extra time.

Instrucciones

Prep

Mix all spices together in a small dish. Rub the seasoning on the steak, and then set it aside.

Sear

Instant Pot: Heat olive oil. Once the oil has heated, add the steaks and sear them for 1 minute each side.

Cook

Remove the steaks from the pot. Place a trivet in the Instant Pot and add one cup of hot water. Seal the Instant Pot and place the steak onto the trivet. If you prefer your steak medium rare, cook on HIGH for three minutes.

Release

Remove the steak from the Instant Pot by releasing the pressure.

Rest

Rest the steak for 5 minutes at least.

Variations

  • Any cut of meat can be substituted for sirloin. Ribeye, filet mignon or strip steak are all good choices. You will need to adjust the cooking time.
  • Use other spices instead of paprika and garlic powder. Both are great with meat.

What is the best cut of beef for this recipe?

I would recommend using high-quality sirloin steak or ribeye. Both steaks are juicy, flavorful and tender. You can also try other cuts, such as filet mignon and skirt steak. However, you will need to adjust the cooking time.

Do I have to use trivets?

How to store Instant Pot Steak

Let the steak cool down completely. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to four days by wrapping it in plastic, or storing it in an airtight container. Wrap it first, then place it in a container. If you want to store it in the freezer for up to three months, do this. Let it thaw in the refrigerator overnight. The texture will be better maintained if you do not use the defrost feature of your microwave. You can use the saute feature on your Instant Pot.
